Huawei Unveils AI Solutions to Transform the Financial Sector

Dated: March 6, 2026

Huawei has introduced a suite of artificial intelligence products aimed at modernizing digital operations for banking and capital markets institutions. The announcement was made during MWC Barcelona 2026 at the finance session titled “Powering Resilient Intelligence, Co-creating Finance Future,” where the company showcased a comprehensive upgrade of its Banking AI and Foundation Model Solutions, enhancing capabilities across scenarios, technology, systems engineering, and ecosystem integration.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, emphasized that in today’s uncertain environment, banks must strengthen resilience through multi-active redundancy to prevent system failures, implement robust multi-layer security against cyber threats, and build a solid foundation for accelerating into the AI era.

Alvin Feng, President of Huawei Digital Finance International, highlighted that the shift from traditional banking to AI-driven banking profoundly transforms customer interactions, decision-making processes, human-machine collaboration, system architecture, and overall customer experience. He stressed that banks require a clear blueprint connecting business strategy with technological execution.

To support this transition, Huawei developed the Intelligent Finance Value Implementer, a structured framework for scenario selection, enterprise architecture, and AI deployment. This approach helps banks build both digital and AI foundations while leveraging systems engineering and an open ecosystem to achieve tangible business and technological value. Alvin Feng noted that unifying AI infrastructure with open ecosystems and reengineering processes through human and artificial intelligence collaboration is central to AI banking success.

Huawei’s upgraded Banking AI and Foundation Model Solutions include the SuperPoD offerings, AI Data Platform, and Xinghe AI Network, designed to help financial institutions establish resilient infrastructure for general-purpose and AI computing. The company has enhanced intelligent operations, specialized model tuning, agent development, and scenario design, reducing agent development cycles from months to weeks, improving prompt accuracy by 10%, and cutting end-to-end latency by over 60%.

The RongHai Program now features over 150 solution partners and more than 11,000 consulting, sales, service, and integration partners worldwide, creating a comprehensive ecosystem that spans customer operations, risk management, and automation while fostering joint AI innovation with financial institutions. Huawei continues to focus on continuous innovation, driving the integration of AI into core financial scenarios and helping institutions build intelligent, autonomous, and resilient digital infrastructure.
