DBS has launched an enhanced version of its Spark GenAI programme in Singapore, in partnership with Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority, to accelerate AI adoption among small and medium enterprises. The initiative aligns with Singapore’s broader National AI Strategy 2.0 and responds to growing demand from SMEs for clearer, more practical guidance on integrating AI into their operations.
The upgraded programme introduces a more structured, three-tier approach tailored to businesses at different stages of AI readiness. It supports companies just beginning their AI journey with ready-to-use tools, helps more advanced firms develop targeted use cases through guided consultancy, and enables mature businesses to scale AI across their operations with customised solutions and deeper integration.
Participating SMEs will benefit from advisory services, training workshops, and access to a wide ecosystem of AI solution providers through IMDA’s Open Innovation Platform. They can also tap into pre-approved AI solutions and receive grant support from Enterprise Singapore to offset adoption costs. DBS complements this with financial solutions and cybersecurity support, along with regular industry engagements to keep businesses updated on AI trends and applications.
To further support learning, DBS has introduced a practical AI playbook developed with KPMG and supported by SkillsFuture Singapore. Designed for business owners and decision-makers, it provides real-world use cases, guidance, and a diagnostic tool to help companies assess their AI readiness and plan their next steps. The playbook aims to simplify AI adoption by breaking it into manageable stages, enabling SMEs to build capabilities progressively.
Overall, the enhanced Spark GenAI programme is part of DBS’ ongoing efforts to help SMEs harness AI for productivity, innovation, and growth, while contributing to Singapore’s ambition of becoming a leading AI-driven economy.
