Invertix, a German cleantech startup based in Munich, has raised €1.7 million in pre-seed funding led by Vireo Ventures, with participation from the Italian Founders Fund and angel investors specializing in energy and AI. Founded in 2026 by Joseph Perrotta and Kaan Durmaz, the company develops AI systems that integrate with existing renewable energy software and autonomously perform operational tasks, going beyond traditional monitoring tools.
The founders identified a gap after engaging with more than 5,000 energy operators and asset managers: workloads are rising, skilled talent is scarce, and current software solutions are insufficient. Invertix’s AI workers address this by handling alarms, checking maintenance records, sending responses, and maintaining compliance logs without human intervention. The platform connects seamlessly with SCADA systems, ERP platforms, maintenance management software, and energy data feeds, with full setup typically completed within 60 days.
Targeting solar and wind operators, asset managers, and infrastructure owners, Invertix already manages over 1.8 GW of solar capacity and is in discussions to expand to an additional 10 GW. Unlike competitors such as Greenbyte, Powerfactors, and Omexom, which focus on performance monitoring and analytics, Invertix differentiates itself by autonomously executing tasks rather than simply providing insights.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate platform development, expand the team in AI engineering, software, product, and sales, and strengthen commercial presence across Europe. The company also plans to extend its AI workers beyond solar into wind, battery storage, and grid operations, positioning itself as a key player in supporting Europe’s energy transition.
