Teach For All has launched the AI Literacy & Creator Collective (AI LCC), a global initiative that positions educators as co-creators of AI’s role in education, emphasizing equity and holistic student development. In partnership with Anthropic, the collective enables teachers to directly shape how Claude, the AI assistant, evolves to support diverse classroom realities, particularly in under-resourced communities. Educators provide ongoing feedback, participate in live design sessions, and engage in community forums, ensuring AI tools reflect their expertise and local needs.
The initiative has already led to innovative outcomes: teachers in Liberia developed interactive climate curricula, educators in Bangladesh created gamified math apps for students struggling with numeracy, and Argentine teachers designed curriculum-aligned digital workspaces for secondary students. The AI LCC builds capacity through three interconnected programs: the AI Fluency Learning Series, which provides foundational training on AI literacy and classroom applications; the AI Learning Community, fostering peer-to-peer exchange across 60+ countries; and Claude Lab, an innovation space for advanced implementations with support from Anthropic.
By centering teacher expertise, the AI LCC empowers educators to create locally relevant, culturally situated learning resources and directly influence AI development. This approach not only strengthens classroom outcomes but also advances Teach For All’s broader goal of ensuring AI drives equitable, responsible, and contextually meaningful educational innovation worldwide.
